I was really apprehensive of this top. Wholly & fully apprehensive. The boutique staff felt equally skeptical, but assured me that, if someone could wear its weirdness, it would be me (something I always take as a compliment). So I looked at it and said, boxy peter pan sweatshirt, I want to make you work. I ended up snagging it, along with a lavender Penguin bow tie (Spring, get here now), and immediately paired it with some trusted boyfriend jeans & nude fool proof platforms. Done & done.
If you were following along on Friday you would have see me post about Instagram-ing a little "feel better list", which seemed to inspire some people to take part in their own deliberated happy-times (awesome). I accomplished about 1/2 of these things by drinking many a fancy coffee, going for a walk, stocking up on good groceries, thrifting, logging 3 outfits posts, and semi cleaning up my place. After this weekend I could too add: winning Scattegories at game night & cooking with/for people that I love.
Also, an enormous yahoo for last night's Golden Globes where Lena Dunham took home 2 awards. Is anyone else excited for the return of Girls? That show has sort of become my spirit guide.
I love the idea of a sweatshirt with a peter pan collar. It's a marriage of two extremes. Love it!!!
